Tackling Sydney Coastrek 2011

Combining the opportunity to support a worthy cause with exercise is a great way to make a contribution to the broader community.

Sydney Coastrek 2011 is a 100km trek along the Sydney coastline via ocean and harbour beaches, headlands, cliff tops and bush tracks from Palm Beach to Coogee in less than 36 hours. It is an endurance challenge to promote health and fitness as well as team work, mental toughness and fun. The event will raise money for The Fred Hollows Foundation to aid their vision for a world where no one is needlessly blind, and Indigenous Australians enjoy the same health and life expectancy as other Australians.

Know The Game's Director, Paula Ward, will join Dot Auer, Di Williams and Janet Kenyon to participate in the 100km adventure on 4 & 5 March 2011. Our training regime has kicked off with several 1-2 hour walks each week, and we plan to walk sections of the course over summer. We are also aiming to raise $1,600 for The Fred Hollows Foundation. If you'd like to make a contribution to support our team, "We Know The Game", please visit our fundraising page.

Thanks for your support and we will keep you posted on our progress.
