Sustainability: Playing Our Part
As we mark our first year in business, we are pleased to announce Know The Game has become 'climate positive'.
Reflecting our core values, since our launch in 2010, we have built our operational processes with sustainable practices in mind. We believe creating a sustainable business extends beyond the balance sheet; it necessitates superior client service, alignment with community values and a recognition of our environmental impact.
Know The Game endeavours to be environmentally cognisant in all our undertakings - to minimise paper, energy and water usage; to recycle waste; to decrease interstate travel through the use of technology; and to reduce reliance on transport by walking to meetings and, when this is not possible, utilising public transport. In addition, our supply chain is integral to the delivery of our sustainability goals. By encouraging our suppliers to provide environmentally friendly options, we seek to influence product availability and thereby enable us to source products that take this into consideration.
To become 'climate positive' and offset our footprint, in partnership with Climate Positive, we have invested in carefully selected offset projects which reduce carbon emissions and encourage the expansion of renewable energy infrastructure. To make a positive contribution to the environment, Know The Game has made an additional investment in a Climate Positive project to restore ecologically diverse forests in high-carbon yield areas.
Further, we make the commitment to continue to monitor our environmental impact, implement strategies to continue to reduce our carbon footprint and, where possible, eliminate emissions.
