We are writing a book. Would you like to contribute?
Over the last 18 months I have been building my unique consulting business, Know The Game. It has been an exciting and daunting time and I have been grateful for the advice I have been given along the way. Not surprisingly there are many elements in developing a business which require new skills, a different perspective and/or outsourced assistance. This has provided an enormous learning curve!
I reflect regularly on the advice and guidance I have been given, and sometimes find a new perspective on the comments which can take me in a new direction or expand my thinking. There is no doubt that the advice I have been given has made the journey an easier one than it may have otherwise been. This has had me thinking about the benefits of sharing the advice I have been given to help others in the way that it has helped me. This has led me to conceptualise a book.
The concept is a book of advice collated from entrepreneurs and small-medium business owners for budding entrepreneurs and start-up business owners to help chart the waters through their first 12-24 months in business. I have around 50 pieces of advice currently, but would like to double this to put the book together.
This is where I am, yet again, seeking advice from others. If you have a piece of advice or a small story (max.120 words) to share that would help a budding entrepreneur and/or SME start up and you are comfortable to provide it on a gratis basis, I would appreciate you sharing your view with me. The quotes and stories which are used in the book will have their source acknowledged (unless you specific a preference not to be acknowledged), hence please provide your name, company name and website address. As an example;
